Kimmie Allen is a New Orleans based freelance dancer. Originally from Natchitoches, Louisiana, she graduated with her BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2006. Afterwards she moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where she studied multiple methods of massage therapy, danced professionally for ARENA Dances and other local choreographers, as well as creating some of her own work. Kimmie’s musical upbringing has always had a strong influence on her dancing style. Her classes investigate space and fulfilled tactile movement, while also exploring phrasing and timing, bringing an overall tone of musicality to the class.
Emanuel Washington is a native of Lake Charles, LA. Emanuel began performing in high school as the Head Drum Major of the Washington Marion Marchin’ Jukebox Band. Emanuel went on to LSU where he found his passion for dance becoming a member of Legacy Dancers and he later became president and lead choreographer for the group. He began training in the LSU Dance Program where he was a 2 year ensemble member and choreographing in his senior year later receiving his B.A. from LSU.
Emanuel is a master class instructor/faculty member of The Platinum Dance Experience and staff member for Platinum Nation Dance Competition. Emanuel’s credits include: "Roots", "Bolden", Dawn Richard, Debbie Allen, Darren Henson, Hailey Rowe, and Darrius "Deezle" Henderson. Emanuel’s choreography has been awarded on the Regional and National competition levels and competed in and won National Showdown Finales. Emanuel is the one the directors of Young Artist Dance, a Louisiana based dance intensive structured to share his passion for artistry, technique and performance.
Joshua Eddington is a teacher/professional dancer born and raised in New Orleans,Louisiana. Josh started dancing at the age of 4. He grew up as a street dancer being inspired by the late Michael Jackson and James Brown. Josh never once stepped foot into a dance studio until attending college at University of Southern Mississippi. Once there, he began training in Ballet, Modern, and Jazz. Josh received 3 years of training in those genres.
Josh has taught at various studios throughout Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, New York, and California. Although Josh received his formal training in Ballet, Modern, and Jazz, he also very proficient in Hip Hop and Break dance. He is known for his unique incorporation of all styles of dance as well as the details within his choreography.
Josh has won many awards for his choreography. Many of Josh’s students have won national titles with his choreography as well. Through his travels, he was able to work with people such as Nick Jonas, PSY, Alicia Keys, Maxwell, Master P, and many more. He has also been casted in movies such as The Campaign, Pitch Perfect 2, and the hit tv series The Magician. He also choreographs dances for many dance schools around the country as well as hosting master classes open to the public. Josh’s main goal is to give back to under-privileged kids, because he believes that every dancer should have a chance at success. Josh is also the co-owner and creative director of ENRGZ MOVEMENT CO. which is a company that provides professional level training for dancers who want to pursue it as a career.
